US abort-for-profit giant Planned Parenthood performed 392,715 abortions in 2022-23.
This is a record number of abortions for the organisation and marks a 20 per cent rise in deaths over ten years.
Following the overturning of Roe v Wade in June 2022, twenty-one states have restricted abortion, but an equal number have made it even easier to get an abortion.
The Charlotte Lozier Institute has issued a report, ‘Above and Beyond’, showing that Planned Parenthood and its affiliates funded over 98,000 people to help cover the cost of their abortion or travel to a centre.
Over 860,000 users accessed its online tool abortionfinder.org, which claims to be “the most comprehensive” directory of abortionists in the United States.
The organisation boasted that demand for abortion at its centres in States where it is not restricted “soared by up to 700%” in 2022-23 and that its lawyers were seeking to challenge pro-life protections in sixteen states.
Human Coalition President Jeff Bradford said: “The sick irony is that they are going ‘above and beyond’ not to care for women but to expand abortion.”
