26,000 in Huge Pro-Life Relay

Over 26,000 pro-lifers participated in this year’s 5,124-mile A-Cross America relay to inspire parents to choose life for their unborn babies.

During the annual relay, pro-lifers not just in America but around the world ran or walked five kilometers in gear that reminds onlookers to “Remember the Unborn.” The result is a worldwide public witness nudging mothers as well as fathers to give their children the gift of life.

"If you’re wearing that shirt, you’re evangelising,” Dr. Pat Castle, says former Air Force Lieutenant Colonel and founder of LIFE Runners.

LIFE Runners is inspired by the real power of pro-life messaging to change hearts. Sixty percent of abortion-minded mothers choose life if they encounter ONE supportive person or encouraging message, according to Castle.

This year’s A-Cross America Relay, which spans the United States in the shape of a cross, began at launch points at or near the northern, southern, eastern and western boundaries of the country. LIFE Runners in San Francisco, New York City, Fargo, North Dakota, and Austin, Texas, prayed before their kickoff leg, which in some cases included carrying their witness to abortion facilities.

In New York City, LIFE Runners prayed at Parkmed abortion facility before walking a mile with their “Remember the Unborn” banner to a statue of Father Francis Patrick Duffy in Times Square. And in Fargo, North Dakota, LIFE Runners prayed in front of the Cathedral of St. Mary before walking 2.7 miles to an abortion facility, where Castle said they were met “with lots of spiritual attack.”
